I made homemade bread for the first time yesterday. It’s not bad.
Well shit: http://abcnews.go.com/Entertainment/wireStory?id=10662959
In other metal news, Joey Belladonna is officially back in Anthrax again.
http://anthrax.com/NFWS/pages/sonisphere.asp
For those who haven’t kept track of these things, here’s some history:
Anthrax’s original singer was Neil Turbin.
He was around for their first album, then replaced in 1985 by Joey Belladonna.
Then in 1992, they ditched Belladonna and brought in John Bush as their singer.
In the mid 2000s, they had the idea to do a special tour for the band’s 25th anniversary featuring both Bush and Belladonna. That idea apparently didn’t go over so well with Bush, and they ended up doing a reunion tour with just Belladonna.
That continued for about 2 years, but they ended up parting ways with Belladonna, and were left without a singer.
In 2007, they brought in a new guy named Dan Nelson. They recorded an album with him, then apparently showed him the door. The album was never released.
Beginning in mid-2009 and continuing into early 2010, they played a few shows with John Bush again. As with the previous Belladonna tour, it was never an official rejoining, but as recently as just 2 months ago it looked like it was about to become official, with talk of re-recording some of the tracks written for Nelson with Bush singing.
Now it’s been announced that they’re back with Belladonna, on an ‘official’ basis.
Follow all that?
Man, I’d love to know why they keep flipping back and forth like that. And I thought that anniversary tour was fucked because Belladonna wanted more money than the rest of the band?
And now… your moment of bullshit… with emphasis on the ‘bullshit’ part: http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20100514/od_nm/us_swearing_rights
BTW, Rev, gz on finally figuring out how to get registered.
I hate the twibbon application -_- but I finally got it to finally work with my ava on Twitter so I am officially saying more Sci-Fi on SeeFee. I swear every time I see it, I am reminded of the Syufys. The family that owned the Century Theater group. Before they renamed themselves Century, their company was called Syufy and the credits would roll before the movies, and I would always pronounce it See-you-fee. But when I got my first job working with them at 16, I learned the correct pronounciation was Sai-you-fee. Oops :p
While it was a hetero affair this time around, the irony surrounding this story is still delicious: http://crooksandliars.com/david-neiwert/another-family-values-republican-bit
One drawback to the current setup for the recent comments box on the right: since ’5/14′ is in this post’s title, and that’s the only date shown, it makes it look like all the comments listed were made on 5/14.
Also, logos that you can click to return to the home page are a good idea.
Toe: Good point on the posts. For the next open thread I will try and title it something different. As for the logo, yeah, thats another work in progress. I am still working on other themes that will give me a good site layout.
I agree with Toe, kinda tripped me out because i couldn’t log in to post and I thought everyone was having the same problemo as moi.
On that note, where is the log in/register link? I had to just click on the link in my email to log back in after I was logged out. I liked the first layout you had better, Trench, what made you change?
I was having issues with some of the addons to the theme that were being annoying. This theme is just temporary.
So how often are these Open Threads supposed to happen, anyway?
Also, a dead celeb: Gary Coleman.

Gary Coleman dead. wow. Whatcha talkin bout Willis? If only his parents hadn’t stole all his money, he may have had a better life.
Eh, could be worse. At least Coleman didn’t do pornos after his parents raided his cash…

Toe: very true
And now we have Dennis Hopper and Alli-Ollie from the Temptations. They are dropping like flies
There’s an ad in the paper for a local smoke shop.
They’re advertising their new line of ‘body detoxifying’ products. O_o
No 6/4 show? Booooo.
Why no show this week? Whats up?
